How to Make a Pony Bead Football Bag Charm
Step 1: Prepare the Lacing
Begin by measuring 150 centimeters of pony bead lacing. Then cut it to length with craft scissors.
Fold the lacing in half and pull it through the key ring or lobster clasp to form a knot.
You should now have two equal lengths of lacing, a left and a right.
Step 2: Lay Out the Pattern
Working on a flat surface, use the photo below to lay out your pattern for the pony bead football.
This is a great time to experiment with different color schemes.
Step 3: String the Beads
First, string the top row of beads onto the left lacing.
Then thread the right lacing up through the beads.
Now pull the lacings in opposite directions until the beads form a horizontal row just under the knot.
Step 4: Add More Rows
Working from the top to bottom of your pattern, string the next row of beads onto the left lacing.
Again thread the right lacing up through the beads and pull the lacings in opposite directions until a row is created just under the first one.
Continue this process to add row after row.
Continue adding rows until all the beads in your pattern are strung.
